THE GOOD:
Nice fitting and light weight.
The VR immersion is somewhat decent for it's price range
3D feature is INCREDIBLE, and very realistic
THE BAD:
The image color quality is
not as good as a TV.
Resolution is not as high as a tv so image is blurred
No head tracking unit.
Kinda expensive for the experience it add to your gamming
Not really good for games other than racing or flying
THE UGLY:
No FREAKING SOFTWARE SUPPORT!
While the 3D feature is great it's useless if there's no game to run it on.
THE VERDICT:
Performance: 8
Price/Value: 6.5
Installation: 9
Overall Score: 7.5
FINAL COMMENTS:
While the actual hardware
product is not really bad, the lack of support from software developers (and even the
company itself) really drive the rating down. Look at it this way, what's the point
of buying a Voodoo 3 if no games use hardware acceleration? My suggestion? Go spend
the $499 on a 50" TV or a 19" monitor. I'm rating this product from the
point of view of a gamer. While this is also targeted to dentists and some cameramen
it may be great for them but for gamers it's kind of a disappointment
